The Community of Lebanon Association named the owner of a city temporary-employment agency as its “Business Person of the Year” last week.
Cindy Heisey, owner of TempForce, took home the award for her business and community involvement in the city. She and her husband, Steve, have owned TempForce since 1999, and she has managed the Cumberland Street business since 1980.
The 25th annual award was announced at the association’s organizational dinner Wednesday.
Heisey is a founding member of the Lebanon County Commission for Women and a past chairwoman of the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce. She is currently on the board of the Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corp. and the South Central Workforce Investment Board.
She has also served on the steering committee for the Downtown Lebanon Visioning Project.
The Community Association of Lebanon’s vision is to make the city a better place to live, work, shop, learn and do business, according to its website.
