Cumberland County-based Vibra Healthcare announced today that it has completed its $20.7 million purchase of the final two hospitals in its deal with Kindred Healthcare Inc. through an affiliate.
Earlier in September, Vibra completed a $165.8 million acquisition of 14 Kindred hospitals and facilities. The two long-term acute care hospitals in today’s deal -- in Milwaukee, Wis., and Victoria, Texas -- were initially part of that original deal but then were moved into this separate transaction.
The two hospitals will be operated by Post Acute Medical of Camp Hill, an affiliate of Vibra.
“By completing the transaction Vibra has added 16 hospitals and facilities to its post-acute care network creating synergy in markets that expand our ability to meet ad deliver the growing post-acute care needs of our patients,” said Brad Hollinger, Vibra’s founder, chairman and CEO. “Additionally, with this acquisition, we are confident that our long-term strategic operations, clinical and development objectives will be met while immediately adding growth and value to the company.”
