A Lancaster County bed and breakfast didn't sell at auction last weekend because no one made a high enough bid.

The auction to sell the Inn at Twin Linden in Caernarvon Township on Saturday did not draw a bid satisfactory to owners Sue and Norm Kuestner, according to a news release from Fortna Auctioneers & Marketing Group, the company holding the auction. They said “several” bidders were at Saturday’s auction with offers.

Auctioneer Michael Fortna of the Annville auction company said even though the property didn’t sell, negotiations will continue with prospective buyers at least for one week.

The property features eight guest rooms, including two deluxe rooms and private bathrooms. A restaurant license is included and the building has a full kitchen. Since the building was built in 1840 as a private residence, it has been used as a senior home and rental apartments and was converted to a bed and breakfast in 1987, according to Fortna documents.
