The midstate's Altland House Hospitality Group has partnered with Gulph Creek Hotels to buy The Holiday Inn York Hotel and Conference Center on Loucks Road in West Manchester Township, Altland House said.

The new ownership will make renovations such as modernizing the ballroom and making the facility a one-stop shop for wedding parties, ceremonies and other events, according to a news release.

Hotel management company Gulph Creek Hotels serves Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

With the planned renovations and the property’s proximity to the York Expo Center, the facility will be a “key player” for bringing conventions and visitors to York County, Altland House owner Mike Haugh said in a statement.

The Altland House Hospitality Group’s business started in 1954, the year the Haugh family began operating its Abbottstown facility in the building it leased from the descendants of Rueben Altland, according to its website.

The hospitality enterprise also encompasses other event sites and facilities in the region.
