First Hand: Civil War-era drawings

A leading authority on Abraham Lincoln presents a lecture in conjunction with the opening of an exhibit on newspaper illustrations chronicling the Civil War.

Harold Holzer was appointed to lead the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Foundation by Bill Clinton, awarded the National Humanities Medal by George W. Bush and now serves as the New York Historical Society’s first Roger Hertzog Fellow.

The event runs 4-7 p.m.
