Lebanon County was the June leader in the clubhouse for lowest foreclosure rate at 1.86 percent, dropping from 2.21 percent in June 2012, according to California-based CoreLogic.
Lancaster County was second at 1.88 percent, which was down from 2.13 percent last June, while Harrisburg-Carlisle’s foreclosure rate was 1.94 percent for the month. That was down from 2.17 percent in the same month a year ago, according to CoreLogic.
The last time those three metropolitan areas were under 2 percent in a month was February 2012, according to CoreLogic.
Meanwhile, York-Hanover posted a rate of 2.79 percent, a decrease from 3.26 percent in June 2012.
The midstate also saw a drop in 90-day mortgage delinquency rates.
Lancaster County was No. 1 at 3.65 percent, which was down from 3.82 percent in June 2012. Lebanon County was second at 4.38 percent compared with 4.51 percent, while Harrisburg-Carlisle and York-Hanover came in at 4.41 percent compared with 4.32 percent and 5.98 percent compared with 6.13 percent, respectively.
