The Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges has appointed James J. Linksz its interim executive director.

Linksz will be succeeding outgoing Executive Director Diane Bosak, who has accepted the position of executive director with the Arizona Community College Coordinating Council. Bosak has been with the commission for more than 11 years.

Linksz has more than 40 years of experience working in community colleges, including 20 years as president of commission member institution Bucks County Community College, from which he retired in September 2012, and three years as commission president.

A timeline for conducting a search for a permanent executive director will be released shortly, according to a news release.

The commission, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, is a volunteer membership association for Pennsylvania's 14 community colleges that represents the interests of and advocates for the collective needs of members to federal and state policymakers.
