The Hershey Co. today announced it has expanded its board of directors to 11 members with the addition of former food and candy industry executive Mary Kay Haben.
Haben retired in 2011 after 33 years in the food and confectionery industry. She was last the president of Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co.'s North America division, according to Hershey. Haben led the integration of Wrigley into Mars Inc.'s candy division in the U.S. and Canada.
Prior to that, Haben was with Kraft Foods for 27 years, leading several of that company's divisions, including cheese, meals and enhancers.
She also serves on the board of Bob Evans Farms Inc., the restaurant operator and food producer, and the board of trustees for Equity Residential, a real estate investment trust focused on multifamily properties. From 2004 to 2007, Haben was a board member for apparel company Liz Claiborne.
