Harrisburg University assembles employer advisory board for new master's degrees
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is launching two new master's degrees this summer and has assembled an employer advisory board to ensure that the training aligns with the needs of the market.
The advisory board is made up of analytics experts from corporations such as LinkedIn, IBM, SAS and Versatile Systems, according to a news release. Members will meet quarterly with HU to assist the further development of the programs’ curricula and share insight on what’s needed to solve the skills gap for analytics professionals. The the employers represented on the board also will provide internships and projects for students in the programs.
The new degrees, one in analytics and one in information systems engineering and management, will be HU’s first full degree programs to be delivered on Altius Education’s online learning platform, Helix.
