Glatfelter, Oshkosh report quarterly earnings

York-based paper products maker P.H. Glatfelter Co. reported second-quarter net income of about $933,000, or 2 cents per diluted share, compared with net income of about $13.4 million, or 31 cents per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter.

However, consolidated net sales for the second quarter this year were about $426 million, a quarterly record, according to a news release. Glatfelter recorded acquisition and integration related costs, after taxes, totaling about $4 million for the quarter, the release stated.

Shares of the company are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol GLT.

Wisconsin-based heavy truck manufacturer Oshkosh Corp. recorded fiscal third-quarter net income of about $148.7 million, or $1.67 per diluted share attributable to Oshkosh common shareholders, compared with $75.7 million, or 82 cents per diluted share attributable to Oshkosh common shareholders in the year-ago period.

Shares of Oshkosh, the parent of the midstate’s JLG Industries Inc., are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol OSK.
