A $2.1 million state investment will help 19 Pennsylvania airports make safety enhancements and operations improvements, according to Gov. Tom Corbett.
Grants are distributed through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's aviation development program funded from the state's jet fuel tax, according to a news release. The money leverages about $647,100 in local matching funds.
Awards include $37,500 for Bendigo Airport in Dauphin County and $238,500 for York Airport in York County, according to the release.
