Johnson Controls settles on southern York County property

By

Milwaukee-based Johnson Controls Inc. has settled on about 57 acres of industrial-zoned land at the Stonebridge Business Park in southern York County for about $5.7 million, according to York-based Rock Commercial Real Estate.

A new engineering and testing complex, which is expected to employ about 450 people, is planned for for the site, according to a news release.

The company previously said it expects to keep some operations and about 250 workers at its existing York-area campus.

Johnson Controls released details of its plan earlier this year.

Rock Commercial Real Estate represented the Stewart Companies in the sale of the tract, and it's the second time Rock has worked with the business to land a major project in York County, according to the release. The other is New Jersey-based Church & Dwight Co. Inc.'s manufacturing and distribution facility in the county.
