The United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County today said it has hired Lucy Suter Zander, of Carlisle, to be its next executive director effective July 1.
“Lucy brings experience and a proven track record of success in the area of fundraising and relationship management, which will be invaluable in meeting our goals and objectives at the United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County. I am confident that Lucy will be an excellent match for this position and a strong asset to the United Way team,” Debbie Keyser, United Way board chairwoman, said in a statement.
Zander, currently the community developer for the Arc of Cumberland & Perry Counties, has been a loaned executive for the United Way over the past five years, according to the Carlisle based nonprofit.
She also has served on the boards of The Carlisle Family YMCA, Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland & Perry Counties, and the Todd Baird Lindsey Foundation. Zander, a Carlisle native, has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kutztown University.
