Arooga's going national with franchise model
The midstate's Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar is taking its business national through franchise opportunities for single-and multi-unit candidates.
The business was founded in 2008 and has seven corporate-owned restaurants in Central Pennsylvania.
"We have fine-tuned the concept through our (seven) company locations and leveraged our collective operations experience and knowledge to create an innovative sports and entertainment restaurant/bar that is positioned for tremendous growth," said Gary Huether Jr., president and co-founder, in a statement.
Huether and Mike Murphy are co-owners of the business, the news release stated.
Initial development efforts will focus on Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C., according to the release.
But franchises are available for Connecticut, Florida, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina and West Virginia, the release stated. Eventually, plans include expanding to other regions of the country.
