With a short ceremony this morning, Centric Bank opened its fourth branch, the first in Derry Township.

Accompanied by state, local, Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC and bank officials, Centric President and CEO Patti Husic snipped a red ribbon to dedicate the branch at 1201 W. Governor Road.

A staff of five, headed by branch manager Vickie LaCour and senior commercial lender Mike Watson, will run the branch, Husic said.

The office, which sits across the street from the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, will be a locus for Centric's "Doctor Centric Bank" division, which provides concierge banking services to medical professionals, Husic said.

State Rep. John Payne, on behalf of the state House of Representatives, and Skip Memmi, representing Dauphin County, presented Husic with proclamations declaring the day, respectively, "Centric Bank Day" and "Centric Bank Comes to Town Day." Memmi is executive director of the Dauphin County Economic Development Corp.

Centric, based in Lower Paxton Township, is privately held.
