U.S. Sen. Bob Casey has unveiled legislation to make permanent the 15-year tax depreciation period that benefits new construction and retail improvements at restaurants, according to a news release.

Permanently extending the 15-year period for new construction, leasehold, restaurant and retail improvements will help businesses access capital and give them certainty needed to expand, the release stated.

The legislation has bipartisan support, according to Casey’s office.
