Welcome! If you're reading this during the weekend of March 23-24, chances are you just received the Central Penn Business Journal's new Banking and Finance enewsletter.

Like our other newsletters, this gives us a chance to gather all the week's reporting on a particular topic in one place. So if you missed my reporting from Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia President Charles Plosser's appearance in Lancaster County, Central Pennsylvania Preservation's seminar on state historic tax credits, or my colleague Jason Scott's piece on Members 1st Federal Credit Union and PSECU's business strategies, here's a chance to catch up.

This blog, meanwhile, will give me a chance to take a step back and offer some commentary on banking and finance issues. There's a lot going on, whether it's banks coping with increased regulation, small businesses trying to meet their credit needs or investors and companies reading the tea leaves to see where the economy is heading.

If there's anything you'd like to see me address here, always feel free to drop a line at tims@centralpennbusiness.com. I'm eager to hear from you!
