Honors, designations and recognitions
Washington, D.C.-based Association of American Medical Colleges gave Ralph Keil its Award for Innovations in Research Training and Education for his "Interdisciplinary Graduate Education in Biomedical Sciences" abstract, in recognition of the extent to which it advances creative, collaborative partnerships and their impact on institutional practices. He is an associate professor of biochemistry and molecular biology with Penn State College of Medicine.
Cincinnati-based National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care named Karen Sunbury a certified nursing director in long term care. She is director of nursing with Cross Keys Village — The Brethren Home Community in Oxford Township.
Montgomery County-based American College of Financial Services named Bernard I. Bostwick a chartered financial consultant. He is executive vice president with Ambassador Advisors LLC.
Hilton Worldwide gave Susan Talbot its Spirit of Care Award, which recognizes exemplary loyalty, attitude and service to customers and fellow team members. Of 50,000 worldwide Hilton employees, it is given to fewer than 100 people each year. She is the recreation manager with West Lampeter Township-based DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Lancaster and has been employed with parent company Willow Valley Associates Inc. since June 1987. She also leads the hotel's School Sweep Friday program, which donates and distributes food backpacks to eligible children from Solanco-area schools during weekends.
McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC of Harrisburg gave Brian F. Jackson its 2012 Gary Yenkowski Award, which recognizes professionalism, dedication to effective marketing, and loyalty and commitment to client service, the community and the company. It is named in memory of deceased partner Gary Yenkowski. Jackson is co-chairman of the labor and employment group and a member of the management committee. He has a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a law degree from Dickinson School of Law.
