More manufacturers are wanted to showcase their available jobs for skilled workers in April at the York County Cooperative Job Fair, according to the Manufacturers' Association of South Central Pennsylvania.

The York-based trade group sent out emails today urging companies to be part of the job fair, which is scheduled for April 24 at the York Learning Center, 300 E. Seventh Ave. in North York. Last year, 45 employers showcased their job opportunities to about 1,200 candidates, according to the association.

The job fair is a collective effort of the association, York College, the York County Economic Alliance, PA CareerLink, R.H. Sheppard Co. Inc., Maximum Business Consulting, the state Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and AHEDD, the nonprofit that promotes employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

The deadline for companies to participate in the job fair is March 29. For more information, contact Dana Dehoff at 717-843-3891 or d-dehoff@mascp.org.
