York County-based WellSpan Health has acquired a property near Route 30 in York and will demolish it for the construction of a new family medicine practice, a spokesman said today.

WellSpan plans to knock down the building at 1401 Roosevelt Ave. between now and about the middle of April, then build the facility, spokesman Barry Sparks said.

The new practice is expected to open in November, he said.

The property used to be home to Banana Max, which moved to Springettsbury Township.
