Harrisburg-based United Concordia announced today that it has formed a strategic alliance with DDS Lab.

"A dental office's laboratory cost is typically one of its major operating expenses,” Jim Shade, United Concordia's vice president of network development and professional relations, said in a news release. “A United Concordia dentist working with DDS Lab could see an annual savings of 25 percent or more off that cost.”

The alliance will offer United Concordia’s nationwide network of more than 80,000 dentists discounted pricing on dental lab products and services, as well as free continuing education courses at regional events across the country.

DDS Lab is a full-service, NBC-certified dental laboratory based in Florida and California, specializing in crowns and bridges, dentures, partials, implants, orthodontics, mouth guards and CAD/CAM restorations. The lab offers its customers an online service portal, myDDSLab, which allows practitioners to enter prescriptions, submit photos, track cases and view their accounts online 24/7.
