Honors, designations and recognitions


Professional Builder magazine and Maryland-based National Association of Home Builders' Research Center gave Charter Homes & Neighborhoods its 2013 National Housing Quality Gold award. During the evaluation process, a team of former winners looks at every aspect of the business. From homebuyer experience to trade partner relationships and business results, the judges measure a company's ability to plan, execute and improve. Charter is the first builder to achieve NHQ Gold since 2009, and one of only a handful of builders in the past 19 years to achieve every level of distinction in the NHQ program, receiving NHQ Bronze in 2011 and NHQ Silver in 2012.

Rapho Township-based Keystone Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors Inc. named Thomas R. Davies its Person of the Year in recognition of his service to ABC and the construction industry, including being a past chairman, treasurer and ABC PAC contributor; involving his staff on ABC committees and attending many ABC events; sponsoring ABC programs and events and exhibiting outstanding knowledge of ABC Keystone board actions, investments, politics and legal history. He is a partner with Harmon & Davies PC in East Hempfield Township and has a bachelor's degree from Lafayette College and a law degree from Duquesne University School of Law.


The National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts named James Spencer a certified valuation analyst. He is a senior consultant with the business consulting services group of Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP.


Tennessee-based Comprehensive Pharmacy Services gave Holy Spirit Hospital's pharmacy department its 2012 Best Practices Award for the Northeast and Southeast in recognition of HSH achieving a score of 95 percent or better on CPS' annual operational audit, which examines more than 300 elements, including operational, clinical, regulatory, financial, customer service and purchasing measures.


Salt Lake City-based Children's Miracle Network Hospitals gave the Children's Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital in Derry Township its highest fundraising award and highest per capita award for mid-size markets, as well as a media award for a video about corporate partners Wal-Mart and Sam's Club.


RSR Realtors of Lemoyne named Angela Moyer its Residential Agent of the Year, William Morrow its Commercial Agent of the Year, Terri Barrick its Rookie Agent of the Year, Jimmy Koury its Rising Star Realtor of the Year and Denise Amig its Most Team Spirit Agent of the Year. Derek Bicksler was recognized for Best Website of the Year and Andrew Lick for Best Marketing of the Year.
