Construction of a Hampden Township office for AAA Central Penn will kick off Feb. 27, according to Susquehanna Township-based Laughner Patel Developers, the project manager.

A groundbreaking ceremony for a 10,000-square-foot facility at 4680 E. Trindle Road is planned for 10:30 a.m., said Mayur Patel, one of the firm's principals.

AAA will be moving out of its 6,000-square-foot leased space at 3433 Trindle Road in Camp Hill.

A larger, more modern facility will better serve the West Shore community, spokesman Shawn Kaup said.

Last year, AAA combined its Mechanicsburg and Camp Hill offices.

Wormleysburg-based Pyramid Construction Services Inc. is the general contractor on the project, which is being financed by the Capital Region Economic Development Corp. and Riverview Bank.

CREDC has provided $540,000 in Enterprise Zone loan funding, while the bank is supplying nearly $1.7 million in financing for the project. Riverview, based in Dauphin County, has branches in Riverview, Marysville and Halifax.

Hampden Township-based Maule+Associates Architects designed the new building. Alpha Consulting Engineers Inc., based in Fairview Township, is the civil engineer.
