In brief: Lancaster, York businesses get DEP grants

Three Lancaster and York County companies were among 32 small businesses that received nearly $240,000 in energy-efficiency and pollution prevention grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.

Part of the state's Small Business Advantage Grant program, funded by the Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act, the 50 percent matching reimbursement grants of up to $9,500 are to implement projects that will save 25 percent annually.

The businesses and amounts received are New Holland Bulk Carriers LLC, $4,350; R.J. Shoff Trucking, $9,500; and Wayne Nell and Sons Meats, $2,535.
