In brief: Traditions wins national award for clubhouse design

Traditions of America at Silver Spring won two silver awards in the National Association of Home Builders' Best of 50+ Housing competition.

The categories were Best 50+ Clubhouse (Over 6,000 Square Feet) and Best 50+ Marketing Event.

The clubhouse has more than 12,500 square feet and features a whirlpool spa, aerobics room, business center, gourmet kitchen and great room, among other amenities.

Traditions is based in Delaware County and has been developing retirement communities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware for 20 years. In addition to the Silver Spring Township community, it has one in the Mount Joy area and is pursuing another in Warwick Township.
