Has long-term care been removed from ACA? And what has replaced it?

When the law was originally passed, it included a program call CLASS, which was a new long-term care insurance program sponsored by the government.

It quickly came under fire politically for being structured poorly financially.

In the most recent financial legislation passed in Congress to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff, the CLASS program was formally repealed. There is currently nothing proposed to replace it, although the issue of long-term care insurance remains a serious one as our population continues to age.
