High Construction Co., based in East Lampeter Township, will receive the 2012 National Construction Best Practices Award from the American Subcontractors Association at its annual convention in March.

The Lancaster County company is one of five nationwide to receive the award, which recognizes elite prime contractors that "uphold best practices and refuse to do business according to the lowest common denominator."

"Building trustworthy relationships and being innovative leaders are the core of our company's philosophy," company President Matt Twomey said in a statement. "This award underscores High Construction's commitment to instill these principles into each and every construction project by creating an optimum work environment, cultivating positive business relationships, and ensuring fairness so that each project is delivered successfully."

High Construction has been recognized each of the past five years by ASA of Central Pennsylvania as its general contractor of the year for 2007-10 and construction manager of the year in 2011.
