Skynet Property Management has started its redevelopment of an abandoned glass factory on North Third and Muench streets in Harrisburg.
The plan is to convert the space at 1841 N. Third St. into 31 studio and one-bedroom apartments at a cost of about $1.2 million.
Exterior work began earlier this month. That work includes brick cleaning and mortar joint repairs. New windows and foundation work, including the installation of a heavy-duty waterproofing system, will follow.
The entire project is expected to wrap up by April 1, said Joshua Juffe, the company's president. Average rent is expected to be $750 per month for the yet-to-be named apartment building, Juffe said.
