LeTort Trust Supports Hurricane Sandy Relief EffortsLana V. Burkhardt
CAMP HILL, PA -
The devastation of Hurricane Sandy is impacting thousands of victim's lives on the East Coast. LeTort Trust employees have rallied together to support those in need by collecting and delivering a truckload of much needed items to the northern New Jersey area. "This is our chance to help those who have been devastated by the storm" said Katie Clarke, President of LeTort Trust. "We feel it is our responsibility as a business to give back to our own communities and to help support those experiencing such great loss as well".
The truck filled with cleaning supplies, bottled water, food items, tools and other necessary items was loaded up and taken to one of the areas hit most hard by the storm. When they arrived in Tuckerton, a town destroyed by the storm, a representative from their town hall told the driver the next town over, Mystic Island, had an even greater need for the supplies. He suggested the materials be taken to the neighboring town.
Upon reaching the donation center of Mystic Island, they were met by people standing in line waiting for supplies. One gentleman indicated they had a list on the wall of items urgently needed in the area. All of the items on the list were included in the shipment provided by LeTort. The recipients of the supplies extended their appreciation and thanks to the entire team at LeTort Trust.
