Honors, designations and recognitions
Madison, Wis.-based Credit Union Executives Society gave AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union of Upper Allen Township a second-place Golden Mirror award in direct marketing.
The Association for Conservation Information gave the Pennsylvania Game Commission two awards for information and educational materials it prepared to promote Pennsylvania wildlife. Hal Korber received first place in the poster category for a poster illustrating bird migration routes across North America. He is the chief photographer and videographer with the Bureau of Information and Education and a 24-year veteran of the commission. Tracy Graziano won second place in the video category for a promotional video she produced. She is a multimedia specialist with many skills and the bureau's assistant videographer and chief video editor.
Chester County-based Affiliated Distributors named Industrial Piping Systems Inc. of Manchester Township its 2012 PVF Affiliate of the Year in recognition of excellent performance and leadership. Industrial Piping Systems is a wholesale distributor of pipe, valves and fittings.
Victory Media and G.I. Jobs magazine named a number of area schools to its list of 2013 Military Friendly Schools: Evangelical Theological Seminary in Myerstown, Harrisburg Area Community College, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, Lebanon Valley College, New Horizons Computer Learning Centers Inc., Penn State Harrisburg, Penn State York, Sage Truck Driving Schools, Shippensburg University and York College. The list includes colleges, universities and trade schools that do the most to welcome military service members, veterans and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.
Colorado-based International Masters of Gaming Law named Kevin O'Toole its Gaming Regulator of the Year for the Americas in recognition of his contribution to the gaming industry and Pennsylvania's achievements in gaming regulatory oversight. Prior to becoming executive director of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in 2009, O'Toole was a commissioner of the Oneida Indian Nation Gaming Commission of New York for two years and its executive director for 10 years. Previously, he was deputy attorney general of New Jersey's division of gaming enforcement for 16 years.
California-based Sir Speedy Inc. named Sir Speedy of Lancaster the No. 3 Sir Speedy franchise in its global franchise network based on 2011 sales revenue. Mary Kohler and Deann Spitler, owners of parent company H&H Graphics Inc., received a Top 10 Sales Volume award as well as a Top 100 Quick Printing magazine award.
