A business analytics platform developed by a locally founded and owned company is part of a pilot program to help administrators effectively manage hospitals and associated physician groups.

The company is VisiQuate, and the pilot program is at Orlando Health Physician Group in Florida. Jose Rivera, corporate director of the physician and professional services at OPHG's central business office, said he expects daily cash flow to increase by approximately 24 percent when using the program to monitor and reduce charge lags.

"By merging revenue cycle financial information from the organization's health information system and practice management system," a news release said, "administrators will be able to monitor the professional and technical revenue components of each physician's practice. Each physician will recognize his or her full contribution to the organization because they have the ability to track and monitor the revenue generated for each case where they are the admitting physician."

Founded in 2009, VisiQuate has offices in Mechanicsburg and Ukraine. It currently serves more than 150 hospitals across the country, according to co-founder and president JK Kolmansberger.
