Group: App development contributes $632M to Pa. economy

The development of applications for mobile devices is becoming an important job creator and contributes more than $632 million annually to Pennsylvania's economy, ranking the state among the top in the nation for the industry, according to the trade group Application Developers Alliance.

Hotel group supports commissioner's plan for Lancaster convention center

The Greater Lancaster Hotel and Motel Association released a statement today endorsing Lancaster County Commissioner Scott Martin's plan to bolster the Lancaster County Convention Center Authority's finances and rejecting a plan put forward by city Mayor Rick Gray.

Pennfield Corp. files for bankruptcy, asset sale

Lancaster County-based animal feed company Pennfield Corp. and its subsidiary, Pennfield Transport Co., filed for bankruptcy Wednesday and said their operations will be acquired by Wellsource Nutrition.
