By - Last modified: October 11, 2012 at 10:38 AM

The Pennsylvania Bankers Association has named J. Duncan Campbell III its president, CEO and treasurer.

Campbell, a Camp Hill native, served as deputy chief of staff under former Gov. Tom Ridge and was Ridge's chief of staff in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Since 2009, he has been managing director of operations for Ridge Global, the former governor's consulting firm.

Campbell will begin Nov. 12, taking over from James Biery, who announced his retirement in early September. Biery will serve as the advocacy group's senior adviser through November 2013.
