Rettew unveils construction services firm ECS

Building on its success with the natural-gas industry in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays, Lancaster County-based engineering firm Rettew Associates Inc. is diversifying into construction services.

The firm is publicly launching a subsidiary company, Energy Construction Services. ECS offers “a full range of construction, supply chain management and design-build services to the oil and gas industry,” Rettew said.

Rettew formed ECS late last year “to capitalize on a few key opportunities,” spokesman Anthony Haubert said. ECS’s supply-chain management saved one early client $2.1 million, Rettew said.

ECS now is being introduced to the broader marketplace, Haubert said.

The company has six employees and is overseen by vice president Yves Pollart and director Bill Manna from Rettew’s Mechanicsburg office. It offers services in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia through Rettew’s Canton, Pittsburgh, Sayre and Williamsport locations.

ECS also offers services of interest to engineering, industrial and utility firms, Rettew said.

Rettew has 10 offices in New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. It jumped 249 places this year in the Engineering News-Record’s Top 500 ranking of U.S. design firms, making it the fastest-growing company on the list.
