Midstate firm Bennett Williams Realty Inc. has decided to end its affiliation with Coldwell Banker Commercial and is now doing business as an independent, the company said.

The company decided a decade ago to make a 10-year franchise commitment with Coldwell Banker Commercial, Bennett Williams Vice President Chad Stine said.

As the end of the deal's term neared, the firm made its decision based on an assessment of factors such as relationships and market coverage under the Coldwell Banker Commercial platform, he said.

Bennett Williams started in 1956 and is a full-service brokerage firm offering commercial and industrial, retail, property management, appraisal and client advisory services in the Mid-Atlantic, according to a news release.
