Regional Chapter ExecutiveCENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA REGION -
The Central Pennsylvania Region of the American Red Cross, located in Harrisburg, PA, seeks a Regional Chapter Executive to ensure delivery of all Red Cross programs including: disaster preparedness and response, health and safety education and service to military families while providing strategic leadership to both paid and volunteer staff. The Regional Chapter Executive acts as a representative of the American Red Cross in the local community and works to develop collaborative relationships with donors, volunteers, government agencies, businesses, other charitable and social service agencies and the media.
The Regional Chapter Executive is the chief fundraiser for the region and is responsible for raising funds to ensure that the Red Cross mission can be provided.
Qualified candidates will have earned a Bachelor’s level degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations or Non-profit Management or possess the equivalent in combined education and experience. A Master’s degree is preferred. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience and success in raising funds and in developing fund-raising strategies for ongoing and emerging operations; have at least 5 years of experience in business administration; and have proven success in developing, managing and leading teams of paid and volunteer staff.
Candidates who have well-developed crisis management and time management skills, possess a commitment to inclusiveness, the ability to work effectively with diverse groups, strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent public speaking and written communication skills are encouraged to apply.
