In brief: Select Capital acquires flex building for $2.55 million

By

Select Capital Commercial Properties Inc., a Cumberland County-based real estate investment company, has acquired an industrial flex building in Upper Allen Township from Nevada-based Equiterra Properties.

Select Capital bought the 49,000-square-foot building at 381 Independence Ave. for $2.55 million, said Stephen Marzullo, senior vice president of real estate company CB Richard Ellis Inc., which helped broker the deal.

Half of the building in the Upper Allen Business Park is leased to New Jersey-based stone company KOL Marble & Granite, as well as to Dauphin County's emergency management operations, Marzullo said.

Equiterra owns commercial property near Carlisle that it wants to develop with restaurants, shops and a hotel.

Select Capital is owned by the Ortenzio family, founders of Cumberland County-based acute care and rehabilitation health company Select Medical Corp.
