Premier Solutions Group, ECOMM Networks merge

By - Last modified: August 10, 2012 at 11:58 AM

Lancaster-based Premier Solutions Group and East Lampeter Township-based ECOMM Networks have announced they are merging into a combined company called PremierComm.

Daryl Heller will be chairman and CEO of PremierComm, and Gary Ritacco will be president and COO. Heller was CEO of Premier Solutions Group, and Ritacco was ECOMM’s president.

The companies merged finance, human resources and other functions Aug. 1, with the full integration of sales and operations by end of year. The current Premier Solutions Group facility at 415 N. Prince St. in Lancaster will be PremierComm’s headquarters.

Ritacco said PremierComm will lease a building adjacent to its headquarters for a network operations center. All staff currently in ECOMM’s headquarters in the Greenfield Corporate Center will be moved to the combined headquarters by December, he said.

Ritacco said PremierComm will have more than 5,000 active customers and approximately 70 employees.

Premier Solutions Group, founded in 2001, provided customized advanced technology solutions, including ResiCheck, a resident check-in, reminder and alert system it developed for residential care facilities and soon plans to offer to hospitals. ECOMM Networks, founded in 1984, focused on converging voice and data into a single network.

PremierComm will design, deliver and support technology solutions, including SIP Hosted PBX, carrier services, wireless, unified communications, virtualization, VoIP, visual communications and collaboration, managed services and data technology solutions.

PremierComm also will offer hosted services in voice and IT products through a newly launched Cloud2Beam brand.

"By combining Premier’s partnerships, Cisco product offering and its strong technical and professional certifications in Unified Communications with ECOMM’s experienced field service, customer base and relationships with Mitel and Avaya for voice systems, as well as Hosted SIP, it will only create a stronger presence in advanced network communications,” Ritacco said. “Our combined strengths and assets expand our existing businesses well and strengthen our offerings.”

“ECOMM has an attractive set of assets and, when combined with Premier Solutions Group, can be monetized to the benefit of PremierComm customers and stakeholders,” Heller said in a news release.
