York County-based York Traditions Bank has acquired a property that used to host a RoomStore location in York Township and plans to turn the site into its central administrative center, according to a news release.
The business is still formulating plans for which departments will relocate to the 27,600-square-foot building on Pauline Drive, the release stated.
Currently, offices for administration, operations, and business and mortgage services are at the bank’s original site on St. Charles Way, according to the release. The retail branch will stay at that location.
The bank was founded in 2002 with a single location and 13 employees, growing since then to 75 employees and three additional branches, the release stated.
Also, one of the founders of the bank recently took a position with York County-based Codorus Valley Bancorp Inc., operating under the PeoplesBank name.
Shawn A. Stine founded York Traditions Bank along with three others, two of whom remain in its executive ranks, Chairman, President and CEO Michael Kochenour said.
