Maryland dealership sponsors Revs skybox level

By - Last modified: July 5, 2012 at 11:55 AM

The York Revolution has reached a three-year deal with Mini of Baltimore County to sponsor the skybox level at Sovereign Bank Stadium as part of an effort to look south for business opportunities.

The focus is a way for the minor league baseball team to take advantage of the significant share of York County consumers who have moved north from Maryland, team President and General Manager R. Eric Menzer said.

Many continue to commute to Maryland for work and spend money there, he said.

So it’s natural that companies in the Baltimore market would seek to reach customers living in York County, said Menzer, who is among residents who moved in from Maryland.

It is the first time the Revolution has sold the sponsorship of the skybox level, and the deal includes the naming rights, he said.

“As we look to grow our business, we will be looking to the south for sure,” Menzer said.
