Celadon Trucking Services Inc., an Indianapolis-based trucking company with a large Carlisle operation, continued its expansion with the recent acquisition of a portion of Hiner Transport.

Huntingdon, Ind.-based Hiner operates about 200 trucks in regional and long-haul services, which Celadon said it intends to integrate into its network. In February, Celadon acquired about 180 trucks and 280 trailers from Tennessee-based Teton Transportation Inc.

In December, Celadon acquired Carlisle-based YRC Glen Moore Inc., formerly a division of Kansas-based YRC Worldwide Inc. That company also owns Lebanon-based New Penn Motor Express Inc.

Celadon Trucking is a division of Celadon Group Inc., which trades its shares on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol CGI.
