Ulta plans grand opening of East Coast distribution center

By

Illinois-based Ulta Salon Cosmetics and Fragrance Inc. will hold a grand opening next week for its new distribution center in Franklin County.

The 373,000-square-foot Guilford Township facility will serve Ulta’s East Coast operations and eventually employ about 400 workers, the company said.

Gov. Tom Corbett is scheduled to appear at the grand opening, which will be held at 2 p.m. June 13.

The nation’s largest supplier of beauty products and supplies has more than 450 stores across 44 states that sell 20,000 products. The company said it plans to open 100 stores this year, according to its first-quarter earnings report.

Ulta trades shares of its stock on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol ULTA.
