Engineering firm Rettew opens Ohio office

By - Last modified: May 30, 2012 at 11:20 AM

Lancaster County-based engineering firm Rettew Associates Inc. has opened an office in Ohio to serve that state's burgeoning Utica Shale oil and gas drilling industry.

Rettew’s office in North Canton will provide engineering and consulting services to several multinational firms involved in energy exploration and production, the firm said.

Rettew has grown rapidly in recent years, thanks largely to work for the Marcellus Shale drilling industry. In 2011, it doubled its staff from about 200 to about 400 employees.

This year, the Engineering News-Record trade publication ranked Rettew the fastest-growing design firm in the country.

In Williamsport, Rettew recently relocated to a larger office, where it is holding an open house today. Rettew opened its Williamsport office in 2010.
