A local business owner plans to purchase a 13-acre tract of land in East Hempfield Township.

Matt DeRose owns York County-based Heritage Hospitality, which owns and operates Heritage Hotel Lancaster and Loxley’s Restaurant, both adjacent to the property.

DeRose said he has no plans in place yet for the land, Heritage spokeswoman Melissa Beaverson said.

The land is under agreement, with the sale closing date likely in June, said Dwight E. Wagner, founder and CEO of Manheim Township, Lancaster County-based U.S. Commercial Realty Inc., which is representing both parties in the transaction.

Heritage Hospitality properties also include Heritage Hills Golf Resort and Conference Center in York County, several restaurants, a spa, soccer camps and a snow tubing and ice skating business.
