HACC event to highlight career and technical education, jobs

Harrisburg Area Community College on Friday will hold an event to promote career and technical education at its Midtown II building on North Third Street in Harrisburg.

A panel discussion will take place at 8 a.m., followed by a keynote address from York County Republican Rep. Ron Miller at 9 a.m.

The panel will discuss how career and technical education in Central Pennsylvania affects jobs and the economy. It will include business and education leaders, graduates and a student of career and technical education, HACC said.

Students from Adams,Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Perry counties will be demonstrating projects and programs from 7:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
