Sacramento, Calif.-based Panattoni Development Co. Inc. plans to build two distribution facilities within the Interstate-78/Interstate-81 Logistics Park in Union Township, Lebanon County, the company announced this week.

The developer has acquired a 129-acre tract in the business park and said the plan is to create 1.5 million square feet of distribution space between the two facilities.

Plymouth Meeting-based Vision Group Ventures created the master plan for the three-building, 1.85 million-square-foot park. The park currently includes a Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores location, convenience stores and quick-service restaurants.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Site improvements include a 1.5-mile access road to serve the park, extending public utilities and grading pad-ready sites for cross-dock buildings, Panattoni said.

That work is expected to be complete in September. Construction of the speculative distribution space could be done as early as next spring, the company said.

Last summer, Panattoni acquired a former Harley-Davidson Inc. materials handling facility in East Manchester Township, York County. That property was recently leased to L'Oreal USA, which is creating about 100 full-time jobs there.
