Millersville University in Lancaster County is wrapping up construction on its $26 million Visual and Performing Arts Center.

The 84,000-square-foot building at the university will be completed this month, with services and equipment moving into the space in April, project manager Steven Strock said.

The center includes a nearly 2,000-square-foot platform stage in the concert hall, a theater, classrooms, music library, recording studio and faculty offices, according to a news release.

Horst Construction Co. in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, is the general contractor for the project. Northampton County-based Spillman Farmer Architects did the design work. Other companies involved include West Hempfield Township, Lancaster County-based Frey Lutz Corp. for heating, ventilation and air conditioning; Spangler & Boyer Mechanical Inc. in Jackson Township, York County, for plumbing; Carroll Township, York County-based Leer Electric Inc. for electrical work; and SK Mechanical Inc. in Ephrata for fire protection.
