BAE receives $30.4M contract for Army vehicle upgrades
BAE Systems, the London-based defense manufacturer, has received a nearly $30.4 million contract for its York County facility to acquire communications and computer technology for the upgrade of Army vehicles, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
BAE will acquire materials for 247 Operation Desert Storm Situational Awareness vehicles to be upgraded at the facility in West Manchester Township, according to the department. The work is expected to be complete before Oct. 31.
The York County facility has received similar contracts this year in which it acquires technology kits and upgrades the communications and surveillance equipment on Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
