The York County-based operations of BAE Systems have received deals worth a total of about $18.7 million, according to the Department of Defense.

The company on Friday was awarded an $11.6 million modification to a contract for Paladin Integrated Management ballistic hull and turrets, the department said. The work is expected to be performed in York County and be finished by April 30.

The department also awarded the local operations a $7.1 million delivery order under an existing contract for Mine-Resistant, Ambush-Protected vehicle maintenance support in Afghanistan. Work is expected to be completed by December, the department said.

United Kingdom-based BAE maintains a hub for its wheeled-vehicle operations in West Manchester Township.
