Energy-efficient storm windows soon will be rolling off a production line in Lancasterís Burle Business Park.

Quanta Technologies Inc., a Malvern-based startup, has signed a lease at Burle and hopes to be making windows by the end of the month, CEO Jay Reyher said today.

Quanta will make its Insulating Glass System windows at Burle. The low-cost windows are designed to be installed over existing windows and have a ďspectrally selective coating that reflects thermal energy, providing the same energy efficiency as a rated Energy Star window, Reyher said.

The company initially leased 15,000 square feet and will hire 10-15 people, but plans to expand to 45,000 square feet and a staff of 60-80 within a year or so, Reyher said.

The Burle park is part of Lancasterís Keystone Innovation Zone, a state-funded program designed to attract and nurture innovative businesses.
